Due to limited technical familiarity of the Owner, in our view, it is the Architect Engineer’s responsibility to be the guardian of the Owner’s Best Interest, during the Conceptual phase, Design Phase, Approval Phase, and throughout the construction phase. The A/E road map in all aspects of planning and design is to simply follow the Owners best interest.

Clarity of Construction Documents
Normally during construction phase, after in-depth reviewing of the plans, call backs from Contractors to Architect Engineer firms occurs to find answers to unclear /omitted work. This usually entails delays, and undue change orders increasing cost of the project. BTE plans are logically organized, well explained with lots of details and notes, fully completed, well checked by 2 professionals, before leaving the office. For this reason, there are seldom call backs from Contractors during construction progress.
Lack of Complexity in Design
The challenges of today’s designs is to comply with multitude of complex code requirements while following complex planning program. This makes the product of space planning usually complex. At BTE we spent considerable time revisiting all aspects of complexities thereby rendering simpler solutions. This saves construction cost and time, and helps construction crew understand the intent, easier and perform the work faster.
In-House Architectural / Engineering / Expediting Work
At BTE, the design work of different disciplines are done in-house by one company for a single source responsibility and for convenience of the Owner ; Expediting services, Architectural, HVAC, Plumbing, Medical Gas System, Sprinklers, Site Connection, Site Storm control, Back Flow Preventer, Fire Alarm, and Electrical are all coordinated in-house. This results in well coordinated construction document with minimal or no errors, and with time savings at the job site.
Total Integrity
BTE prides himself in operating with complete honesty. Our design fee proposals are calculated based on the actual time spent on previous similar recent jobs. Our completion dates are good and we stick to it. The additional services beyond original agreement is honestly charged based on the actual hours spent. BTE has very long list of clients to attest to this subject matter.
